Today, the World Cup opening ceremonies kicked off in Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium. A global audience watched as teams from 32 countries came together to kick off the world’s most-watched sporting event celebrating soccer or, as the rest of the world knows it, football. Over the next month, an estimated 3.2 billion people will watch as teams compete across 11 cities in Russia. While the World Cup offers its own unique brand of excitement, the global event also is a stark reminder of the religious persecution that more than 215 million people experience around the world.

True Believer’s we are still here and the rapture has not taken place, therefore we should be praying for our country, praying for our children, praying for our leaders, stand on God’s Word and ask for our Heavenly Father to help us and guide us during this time of change.
