As times grow darker and colder remember where our mindset should be. We are to have a heavenly mindset and not focused on this world, for this world will pass away and our eternity is our future. Where does your future lay?
Colossians 3:1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
The news is systematically getting colder and darker and it seems as if you cannot find uplifting stories to read. We are living what Matthew says “ESV 12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.“
Can you see we are living this scripture out each day. Are you ready if Jesus was to rapture His church today?
How will you live in a cold and dark world?
The world is becoming a darker and darker place. It seems as if evil is winning and destroying all since of right and wrong. There is fear, anger, and lack of understanding as to why. The only place to find the answers is in the bible. But most of the world is now doing all it can to eradicate God so most people will not find the truth. People will desperately look to find safety, peace dand security, without considering the cost….more
Compromise begins when we walk with the wicked. As we grow accustom to compromising we start to discard our godly values until we stand on the path of sinners. Standing still in the darkness of sin, darkness becomes our normal and so sitting down with scoffers is not that big of a step. This means we entered into a close relationship with them, as in, marriage or close friendship….more
Who Is Peace
Question: “What is the peace of God, and how can I experience it?”
Answer: Philippians 4:7 refers to “the peace of God which transcends all understanding.” Most of Paul’s letters began with the words “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Peace is a state of tranquility or quietness of spirit that transcends circumstances. The term peace is described in Scripture as a gift from God and congruent with His character (1 Thessalonians 5:23; Galatians 6:16; 1 Peter 1:2; Hebrews 13:20).
If God is peace, then to know God is to bask in His peace. The closer we draw to Him, the more of His peace we can enjoy (James 4:8). God gives us clear instructions about how to draw near to Him. Psalm 24:3–4 says, “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.” But Scripture is also clear that we cannot make ourselves clean enough or pure enough to earn the presence of the Lord (Romans 3:10, 23). So how do we draw near enough to experience His peace? Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27). We come into the presence of the Lord through His Son (John 14:6). When we allow Jesus’ death and resurrection to purchase our forgiveness from God, we are counted as righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21). Our sins are forgiven because Jesus already paid the price for them. Only then can we have peace with God (Romans 4:5; 5:1; 1 John 4:10)…more
